Why the hell am I so socially awkward. I went to the LGBT welcome back BBQ today. Yeah I was the guy sitting alone at one of the tables, two of my acquaintances were sitting at the other end of the table. By myself. Totally left out. No one even approached me to say hi or even ask if I was registered to vote. I really hate myself for being this way. I have no idea how to change I have tried over and over, but I always revert back to myself. And I'm just really getting upset with myself. Am I really that unapproachable.

First off, try approaching people yourself. I am sure there were plenty of others at the BBQ who felt the same way. Also, try attending some of the meetings on campus for LGBT students. GSA, SAGE, OUTlaw, etc. People will be much more likely to talk to yo ... (more)
Sorry you were treated that way. I didn't go because I don't want to be judge as a "straight looking" girl. Its really sad that the LGBT community treats people the same as the world, because we look or act different.
